Interactive magic for Hertfordshire events
I’m Daniel Bower, a London based magician, mentalist and event host, and a member of The Magic Circle. Hertfordshire is right on my doorstep, so I regularly perform at corporate events, weddings and private celebrations across the county, from St Albans and Harpenden to Watford, Hertford and Welwyn Garden City.
Hertfordshire has always felt like my countryside. Growing up, I spent most of my free time on my bike, cycling out to the closest countryside I could get to, which meant Hertfordshire’s lanes, villages and fields. Now I get to come back and perform at some of the best venues in the county.

Lotus at Hatfield House
On 11 December 2025, Lotus brought their team together for their Christmas party at Hatfield House, one of Hertfordshire’s most spectacular historic venues.
The evening started with mingling magic during the drinks reception, with small groups of guests getting impossible moments up close. During dinner I moved from table to table between courses, and the night built to a big reveal in front of the whole room, with a guest helping out front.

Do you perform in Hertfordshire?
Yes, all the time. I’m based in London and have performed at The Grove, Sopwell House, Knebworth House, Tewin Bury Farm, Brocket Hall and Hatfield House, as well as private parties and dinner parties at home across the county, from St Albans and Radlett to Watford, Hertford and Welwyn Garden City.
How much does it cost to hire a magician in Hertfordshire?
Professional magicians can charge anywhere from around £500 to £5,000+, depending on experience, timings and format. Most of my bookings are around £1,000 to £2,000, with larger or customised events costing more.

Yes. I’ve performed at weddings at The Grove, Knebworth House and Tewin Bury Farm. Close up magic works brilliantly during the drinks reception while photos are being taken, and between courses at dinner. A short stage show can bring everyone together later in the evening.
How many guests can one magician entertain?
Around 50 to 60 guests per hour is a useful rule of thumb for close up magic. For larger events, I may recommend more time, a stage show or additional performers.
How far in advance should I book a magician?
As soon as your date is confirmed. Popular Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays can book months ahead, especially around Christmas. Last minute bookings are sometimes possible too.
